:Chomyo Taeje(Royal Shrine Rite)
This
ceremony pays homage to the past kings and queens of the Chosun Dynasty.
It is held in Seoul every year on the first Sunday in May. A number of
royal descendants, robed in the traditional garments worn by thier ancestors,
take part in the rite, accompanied by court music and dance.

The Secret Garden (Piwon) is a wooded garden tucked away in a quiet corner of Ch' angdokkung place. It is an idyllic oasis, with its pavilions interspersed with small streams, bridges, and places of exquisite beauty. In the past the garden was reserved for the royal family.
Today, it is open to all on a guided-tour basis. There are three English tours daily at 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30, and Japanese tours are at 10:30, 12:30 and 14:30. Opening hours:09:00-17:00 (Mar.-Oct.)
